“The best reason for learning karate is to develop character – to make a good person first and a strong person second. This must be understood to advance” Mas Oyama, 1963, founder of KyokushinKarate

Karate literally means “Empty Hand”. Kyokushin Karate is Budo (fighting) Karate and not sports karate. It involves effective punching, kicking and blocking, as well as a variety of other techniques, both soft and hard. Along with a range of self-defence techniques such as holds, throws and take downs. Kyokushin Karate classes will rapidly improve your balance, coordination, flexibility, and overall fitness.

Kyokushin Karate is an ideal activity for people of all ages improving fitness, reflexes, self-confidence, self-defence skills, concentration, balance and co-ordination. Kyokushin Karate aims to cultivate the power of perseverance by strengthening your mind and body to overcome challenges.

Kyokushin Karate is noted for its power and effectiveness and is known the world over as “the strongest Karate”. It is practical and readily usable in everyday life.

Kyokushin is Japanese for 'The Ultimate Truth' and this Martial Arts style has its roots embedded in the values of self-improvement, discipline and hard training. Kyokushin Karate is a truly life changing Martial Art, that continues to challenge and inspire you, no matter what level you are!
