Whether you have a love for boxing and want to compete or just want the best all-body workout, everyone is welcome at our boxing club in the heart of Hobart. We offer mixed classes for men, women and young people (10y.o+) of all abilities and fitness levels.
Safe and Fun
Classes are structured to boost your fitness levels whilst teaching technical boxing skills in footwork, punches, combinations and defence. Whether you’re a beginner learning the ropes, wanting to feel confident in self-defence or an amateur boxer perfecting your craft, we’ve got you covered. Supervised sparring is an option - only if you want to. It’s a safe and fun environment that will challenge and motivate you – perfect for recreational or amateur boxing.
The first class is always free and with no lock-in contracts, there is no excuse not to come by and see how Hobart PCYC Boxing classes might work for you.
Boxing is Our Passion
For many years, the PCYC has been teaching and training amateur boxers. We are affiliated with the national body Boxing Australia Limited, and we have the appropriate boxing insurance. Being an amateur club means for those as passionate as we are about boxing, there is a clear career path to Commonwealth and Olympic level competitions.
A Friendly Team
Our experienced coaches are accredited through Boxing Australia Limited, are registered to work with vulnerable people and have passed criminal background checks. The gym is equipped with punch bags, boxing mitts, gloves, boxing ring, medicine balls and skipping ropes.
