Named after its inventor, Joseph Pilates, Pilates focuses on the core, which could be thought of as the 'powerhouse' of the body. Movements focus on strengthening and lengthening the muscles, producing long, lean, strong overall muscle tone that doesn't create bulk. Participants can expect greatly improved flexibility and increased mobility, even in just a short space of time.
